The Southeast of Styria has very good conditions for the cultivation of elderberry: scientific analyses showed that elderberry growing in this area contains a lot of igredients. The reason for this phenomenon is with high probability the volcanic ground.
All fruits used for the production of Holler Vulkan are being grown round St. Anna am Aigen. St. Anna can be compared with a fortress placed on an extinct volcano and is therefore a sing for the blocking and protecting effects of Holler Vulkan.
